Frankly Speaking: After three years, it’s time to say goodbye to my small business

Every small business owner should have their line in the sand – that point of no return where you have to take pause and ask yourself the question: “is it all worth it?”

For me, I reached that point last Christmas, when the cafe I own with my sister was closed and I was on the other side of the country, spending my mornings walking by the ocean and my days in quiet reflection. 

Some days, I think I started the business too early, before I had enough experience and wisdom under my belt.
