Workplace protections for menopause, perimenopause on government radar after review
The federal government has thrown in-principle support behind a call to consider greater workplace protections for women experiencing menopause and perimenopause.
That support is conditional and carries a string of caveats, but nevertheless shows how Canberra is contemplating measures that could affect hundreds of thousands of working women nationwide.
In March last year, an independent panel handed the government its review of the Secure Jobs, Better Pay bill, a major package of workplace reforms enacted by federal Labor in 2022.
