Former Smart50 winner Cover Genius valued over $2 billion after new deal
Insurance technology platform and former Smart50 winner Cover Genius has claimed a new valuation north of $2 billion after securing a financing deal worth $143 million (US$100 million).
The enterprise, which helps retailers, travel businesses, and car rental services sell insurance policies to customers, says it will use the funding to develop its AI capabilities and make key acquisitions.
Sydney-founded Cover Genius announced the deal last Tuesday, San Francisco time, saying strategic financing provider Vista Credit Partners backed the cash injection.
