The Laundry Lady founder Susan Toft shares how a side hustle born from a household chore grew into an international business.
In 2012, Susan Toft had a spare bedroom that had become home to a mountain of clean laundry.
The washing was done. Folding it and putting it away was another matter. On busy mornings, Susan would rummage through the pile looking for something to wear before heading off to her corporate job and tackling the rest of the day as a working mum.
“I remember thinking, surely I’m not the only one drowning in this,” she says.
The laundry pile gave Toft an idea.
