Funding women founders: We cannot keep doing the same thing and expect change
We all know how the adage goes: the definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting a different result. It feels increasingly relevant to how we approach women’s participation in entrepreneurship and access to venture capital.
Many existing initiatives are genuinely valuable: mentoring, leadership development, capability building, networking and founder education. But most share the same underlying assumption: they are designed to help women navigate the existing system.
